Career: I attended Kentucky State University for my bachelors then completed my masters degree at the University of Kentucky. I have been teaching English for 27 years, starting my career at Spencer County High School in 1994. I taught there for 11 years and then transferred to Eminence High School in 2005. After teaching there for 12 years, I now teach English at Bullitt Central High School. I achieved National Board Certification in 2007. I renewed my certificate in 2017.
Personal: I started my teaching career after working many years in the private sector where I owned my own business, a frame shop. I also worked as a travel agent and helped pay for college by umpiring and doing books for another company. I am married and have three grown children. I enjoy traveling and exploring the world, reading historical novels, and refinishing furniture.
